THE DIARY OF A HUSTLER

 I have been teaching middle school for five years. Although I love teaching, I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit.  I think it was because I was a waitress all through college.  I was so used to making fast money everyday that I couldn’t imagine waiting for a paycheck!   Well, I quickly got over that worry, but I always knew that I wanted to be financially free and in order to do that I would need to do more than just work a 9-5 or in my case an 8-2:40.  Even though I knew I need a side gig, I had no idea as to what that should be.  This is part of the reason why I became involved with network marketing in 2003; the other part is that I am extremely social and I was pow wowing with someone who showed me how I could make some extra cash.   Although I did make money from the business, I haven’t had the success that I had expected to have by now.

Then I stumbled upon an article called the “The Seven Great Lies of Network Marketing” by Ann Sieg. OMG, that report… all I have to say is, it was an eye opener and a must read. Then I read her book, “The Renegade Network Marketer”.   Now that book was the truth!  Ann showed me exactly what I needed to do to be a successful home-based business owner.   Then I decided to enroll in Renegade University, an online school that showed me step-by-step 21st century marketing skills.

The crazy thing is that even though I am about to graduate with a MA in Educational Technology, I never thought that technology would be the vehicle that would drive my business. I got involved with that major to introduce my students to a new way of learning and to prepare them for the real world.  Ironically, I am teaching adults the exact same thing- a new way of learning many, many things.   Now I am building websites, blogs, social networking, email campaigning, affiliate marketing, viral marketing, and everything else to build my business.  I still haven’t fully wrapped my mind around the power of technology!

This blog is designed to document my road to success from the beginning (well almost the beginning- I just recently began my new mlm and my shift to online and attraction marketing).  But the main goal is to  hopefully help others to have success as well by learning from my mistakes and successes along the way.   Blogging is like an interactive diary. I can express and share my feelings, thoughts, opinions, and ideas while getting feedback from others.  I want this platform to serve my readers (I’m a true teacher at heart). My hope is that my readers get value from my posts and share it with others. 

I will update it regularly with new information and thoughts.  I often link to resources that I use or find interesting.  Who knows?….you might stumble upon something that changes a part of you forever- just like Ann’s report did for me.
